Summary:

Pacific Seafood is seeking a motivated Inventory Maintenance Intern to support the Maintenance and Operations teams by helping implement, organize, and optimize key components of our MaintainX Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). In this role, you will collaborate closely with supervisors, technicians, and support staff to develop asset lists, improve inventory accuracy, establish preventative maintenance programs, and assist with training team members on the CMMS platform. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in maintenance operations, digital systems implementation, and process improvement within a fast‑paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities
MaintainX CMMS Implementation & Support:
  • Learn and develop proficiency in the MaintainX CMMS platform.
  • Assist in creating, organizing, and maintaining asset lists for targeted facility areas.
  • Help develop a preventative maintenance (PM) program for key machinery.
  • Provide hands-on support in training maintenance team members on using the CMMS.
Inventory Control & Organization:
  • Work with the MaintainX inventory control module.
  • Create and organize a filing system for inventory control within both the Maintenance Parts Room and the electronic storage system.
  • Begin developing a comprehensive inventory program, including processes for costing, on‑hand accuracy, vendor setup, lead times, and other controls.
  • Assist in setting up company assets and linking them to the appropriate inventory and maintenance records.
General Support:
  • Conduct research to support maintenance, inventory, and operational initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood
Required:
  • Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, with a graduation date no later than June of 2026, in:
    • Operations Management
    • Business
    • Engineering
    • Related fields
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong research skills and analytical thinking.
  • Technical aptitude, especially with digital platforms or systems.
Preferred:
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  • Familiarity with maintenance, inventory, or operations concepts.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus, as the role may involve assisting in training a team with many Spanish-speaking members (not required).
