Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Packaging Engineer to lead the design and optimization of size-customizable corrugated shippers and inserts. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in packaging design with hands-on experience in packaging test labs, ensuring that solutions are both innovative and validated through rigorous testing. This role requires strong collaboration across product, operations, and supply chain teams to deliver packaging that balances protection, cost efficiency, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

Create and optimize corrugated shipper designs with customizable sizing and inserts.

Utilize CAD tools to develop packaging concepts, prototypes, and production-ready specifications.

Ensure packaging meets functional, aesthetic, and sustainability requirements.

Testing & Validation

Develop comprehensive packaging test plans aligned with industry standards (ISTA, ASTM, etc.).

Partner with packaging test labs to execute drop, vibration, compression, and environmental tests.

Analyze test results, identify improvement opportunities, and drive design modifications.

Project Management

Lead packaging development projects from concept through commercialization.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product design, manufacturing, and logistics.

Manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful implementation.

Continuous Improvement

Benchmark industry best practices and emerging technologies in packaging.

Drive cost reduction, material optimization, and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications
