Starting Pay: $80,000.00/yr.
As a Design, you will play a key role in developing innovative packaging and display solutions that support sales growth and customer success. You will collaborate with sales representatives, customers, and production teams to create structural and graphic packaging designs while ensuring manufacturability, quality, and efficiency. This position combines creativity, technical expertise, and hands-on prototype development in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Need to be Successful
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design and develop structural packaging and display concepts using ArtiosCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D rendering software.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives to create packaging solutions that support customer requirements and sales objectives.
  • Produce and assemble packaging prototypes and samples using a Kongsberg CAD table and hand fabrication methods.
  • Evaluate customer requests and develop creative, manufacturable packaging designs.
  • Maintain detailed CAD specifications, print information, project records, and filing systems.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and tooling personnel to ensure tooling orders and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
  • Provide support for artwork, graphics, and special design projects throughout the organization.
  • Meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards and production feasibility.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Design Manager or General Manager.

Education and Experience
Required:
  • College coursework or education in CAD, graphic design, drafting, computer-aided design, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience using ArtiosCAD, Kongsberg CAD Table, or similar packaging design software.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications.

Preferred:
  • Experience in the corrugated packaging industry.
  • Experience creating packaging prototypes, displays, and production-ready specifications.
  • Knowledge of printing processes and printing equipment.

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to read, understand, and follow factory masters, work instructions, and production specifications.

  • Ability to accurately read tape measures and dimensions.
