Our organization is currently seeking a Design Engineer.

A successful candidate will be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • Responsible for ensuring effective, consistent drawings and technical documentation contributes to parts being produced and installed with first time quality

  • Support engineers in ensuring products meet manufacturing standards and requirements to meet On Time Delivery commitments
  • Collaboratively work with design engineers and manufacturing engineers to incorporate best practices for drawing standards
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining clear installation instructions that contribute to product being installed efficiently with first time quality
  • Support in creating & maintaining drawing standards and requirements
  • Responsible for converting and maintaining accurate CAD models to be used by other areas of the business
  • Other duties as required

Education required for this role:

  • Associate Degree or Trade School Certification in Computer-Aided Design
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Proficient in 3D CAD modeling and detail drawing creation; formal training in SOLIDWORKS is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications

Additional Requirements:

  • Must meet and maintain all requirements to be a “Driver” as defined in Adrian Steel Fleet Corporate Driving Policy
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Acceptable driving record (Adrian Steel authorized)
