Position Summary/Objective

The Consulting Sales Advisor is responsible for driving growth of Cattail’s Consulting Services, including Risk Management, Nurse Consulting, and HR Consulting, through strategic sales efforts, relationship development, claims and data processing services, and consultative solution design.

This role serves as the primary connector between clients and Cattail’s consulting teams—educating prospects, identifying service needs, packaging bundled solutions, and demonstrating the measurable value of doing business with Cattail Consulting.

Essential Functions

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute an annual consulting sales plan aligned with organizational goals
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new consulting opportunities through referrals, cold outreach, community relationships, and insurance partnerships
  • Present bundled consulting solutions (Risk, Nurse, and HR Consulting, as well as claims/data processing) tailored to client-specific risks, compliance needs, and operational challenges
  • Coordinate and deliver professional client presentations for new and renewal consulting engagements
  • Negotiate consulting services scope, pricing models, and renewal strategies in partnership with leadership

Client Relationship & Strategy

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their operational risks, workforce challenges, regulatory exposure, and loss drivers
  • Collaborate closely with Risk Consultants, Nurse Consultants, HR Consultants, claims & data processing services, and Insurance Producers to align consulting services with client goals
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and handoff from sales to consulting delivery teams
  • Maintain strong, long-term relationships by monitoring client satisfaction, engagement, and renewal opportunities

Internal Collaboration & Process

  • Maintain accurate documentation of all material client conversations, proposals, and service agreements
  • Assist in resolving client concerns related to consulting scope, billing, scheduling, or service delivery
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes (OSHA, HR, healthcare compliance, etc.), and consulting best practices
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development across consulting disciplines



Additional Responsibilities

  • Travel regularly to client locations for meetings, assessments, and presentations
  • Perform consulting services to Risk Consulting Clients as needed
  • Uphold Cattail’s core values and hospitality standards in every client interaction
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational objectives

Education & Experience / Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, consulting, insurance, risk management, healthcare, HR, or professional services
  • Experience selling consultative or service-based solutions strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with regulatory environments (OSHA, HR compliance, healthcare regulations, insurance) a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, and travel schedules
