Job description

Production Art Designer

Mano’s Wine is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Art Designer to serve as a key link between our Design and Production teams. This position will work primarily within the Design Department while collaborating directly with our Film, Etching, Paint, and other production departments to ensure every new product is set up accurately and ready to manufacture.

The Production Art Designer will be responsible for preparing production-ready artwork, setting up new products, orders, and SKUs, and making adjustments throughout the production process. This is an ideal role for a designer who enjoys both technical file preparation and hands-on problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize production-ready artwork for new products, customer orders, and SKUs
  • Set up artwork according to the requirements of our film, etching, paint, screen-printing, and finishing processes
  • Create and maintain accurate product files, mockups, production specifications, and supporting documentation
  • Review artwork for proper sizing, line weight, spacing, color separation, and production feasibility
  • Work directly with production teams to answer questions, resolve artwork issues, and make timely file adjustments
  • Spend time on the production floor as needed to review samples, inspect artwork placement, and ensure the finished design matches the approved concept
  • Collaborate with designers to adapt creative artwork for manufacturing without compromising the overall design
  • Set up new product information, SKUs, paint colors, file locations, and other production details
  • Proofread and verify artwork, product information, and production instructions before files are released
  • Maintain organized and accurate digital files throughout the production process
  • Help troubleshoot production challenges and recommend practical design solutions
  • Communicate changes clearly across the Design and Production teams
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Degree in Graphic Design, Production Design, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience preparing vector artwork and production-ready files
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, color, file organization, and print-production standards
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable working in both an office environment and an active production setting
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to receive feedback and make revisions efficiently
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting production deadlines
  • Experience with screen printing, etching, packaging, labels, prepress, or manufacturing is a plus
  • Experience working with CAD or 3D printing Files is a big plus!

What Success Looks Like

A successful Production Art Designer ensures that every product moves smoothly from concept to production. Files are accurate, specifications are complete, production teams have the information they need, and potential issues are identified before manufacturing begins. This person takes ownership of the details and works collaboratively to make sure every finished product meets Mano’s Wine’s quality standards.
