Job description

You may be asked to set up, operate, clean and maintain food processing and filling equipment, working as part of a team to reach daily production goals. A clear understanding of proper food handling techniques of meat, eggs, fruit and vegetables is required. Direct daily contact with food is expected. Detail oriented individual with understanding of food manufacturing regulations is very important: gloves, hairnets, and closed shoes are required.

Packaging/Production position additional responsibilities may include:

  • Equipment changeovers
  • Machine troubleshooting
  • Forklift driving

Packaging/Production position requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Ability to work independently
  • Food Handling Experience highly preferred
  • Mechanical experience (preferred not necessary)

Physical Demands:

  • Ascending or descending stairs or platforms.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and move freely.
  • Must be able to lift/move 50 pounds or more from time to time.
  • May have physical and/or airborne contact with food allergens (except peanuts).
  • Work environment includes normal office to plant operations with very cold/hot conditions.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors.
