Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a Shipping Representative to accurately package, verify, process, and ship domestic, international, and hazardous material orders while ensuring compliance with established shipping procedures.

This is a highly physical, fast-paced, and high-structure position. Candidates should be comfortable working on their feet for extended periods, lifting and moving packages, and working in a high-volume environment where priorities can change quickly.

Please note: The posted shift end time is a guideline, not a guaranteed departure time. The team does not leave until the final shipment has been processed and leaves the facility. Depending on business needs, this may occasionally require working as late as 8:00–9:00 PM, particularly when an airport shipment or other time-sensitive delivery is required. Candidates must be comfortable with this level of schedule flexibility.

The position also requires regular use of Microsoft Office, SAP, Salesforce, FedEx, UPS, and other specialized software, as well as the ability to operate or learn to operate a forklift and company cargo van.

This role is best suited for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, physically capable, comfortable working under pressure, and able to prioritize multiple shipping requirements while maintaining accuracy and safety.

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities
  • Accurately package, verify, label, and prepare domestic, international, and hazardous material shipments.
  • Examine shipment contents and compare against manifests, invoices, packing slips, RGA/RMA documentation, and other records to verify accuracy.
  • Securely package boxes and materials to prevent damage during transit.
  • Route outgoing shipments to the appropriate destination and coordinate time-sensitive deliveries.
  • Utilize SAP and Salesforce to process shipments, print/reference product information, enter tracking numbers, and update shipment details.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers including UPS, FedEx, and DHL to schedule pickups, provide shipping instructions, and resolve shipment-related issues.
  • Prepare international and customs-compliant shipments and ensure required documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Receive inbound deliveries and inspect contents to ensure consistency with RGA/RMA paperwork and other documentation.
  • Support various shipping functions, including daily, weekly, hazardous material (HAZMAT), and international shipments.
  • Operate or learn to operate a forklift and company cargo van as required.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
  • Monitor and replenish shipping supplies and maintain supplies in designated locations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and compliant shipping environment.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve shipping efficiency and accuracy.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments, carriers, and other team members to ensure shipments are completed accurately and on time.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • This is a physically demanding position requiring regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and moving packages/materials.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure, highly structured environment.
  • Must be comfortable handling multiple priorities and meeting time-sensitive shipping deadlines.
  • Must be able to work beyond the scheduled shift end time when necessary to ensure all shipments have left the facility.
  • Occasional workdays may extend until 8:00–9:00 PM based on shipment and airport transportation requirements.
  • Ability to safely operate or learn to operate a forklift and company cargo van.
  • Must follow all safety, shipping, hazardous-material, and company procedures.
 Required Qualifications & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous shipping, logistics, warehouse, distribution, or materials-handling experience preferred.
  • Experience working with UPS, FedEx, DHL, or other shipping carriers preferred.
  • Experience physically preparing shipments, scheduling carrier pickups, and/or tracking outgoing packages preferred.
  • Experience with SAP preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to learn new software, systems, and shipping procedures.
