As an Inspector in the Packaging department, duties will include assisting machine operators, checking the quality of the product, completing documentation, operating machinery and completing all assigned tasks. They are responsible for ensuring that the particular machine is performing to production targets and according to Safety, SOP, GMP and FDA regulatory compliance requirements.
How will you contribute:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. Essential job functions and duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Support operation on a particular machine or function in the assigned Department while meeting targeted production numbers with no quality or safety infractions.
  • Operation of various equipment
  • Inspect and Package product according to specifications.
  • Understand the specifications indicated on the batch record for each product.
  • Prepare all necessary supplies and equipment to perform the job.
  • Ensure Quality requirements of product specifications are met including incoming materials, running work-in-process, and finished product.
  • Monitor product quality
  • Assist in filling out appropriate paperwork at the beginning and end of each lot and shift.
  • Report process and equipment problems to supervisor or lead.
  • Ensure batch records, equipment logs, and other relevant records are current.
  • Cleans and maintains processing rooms and equipment.
  • Follows established department SOP's, cGMP regulations, and batch record instructions.
  • Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintains a safe work environment and operates in a safe manner.
  • Perform other job duties related to the job, as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate; and
  • Any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successfully perform the job.

Work Environment:
  • May involve exposure to allergens such as Soy, Wheat, Fish, Shellfish, Milk, Egg, Tree Nuts and Sesame.
  • Required to stand and walk for extended periods of time during work shifts.
  • Routinely required to stoop, bend, kneel, lift, reach, pull, push, and tilt object in the performance of job function.
  • Lifting limitations for this position: 25-30 lbs. May have to manipulate heavier containers.
  • Periods of odoriferous environment.
