Job description

Position Summary
The Quality Control Technician supports the production and packaging of cannabis products by ensuring finished goods meet established quality, labeling, and packaging standards before being released for sale.
This role works closely with the production and packaging teams to inspect products, document quality checks, identify defects, and maintain accurate production records. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build experience within cannabis manufacturing, production, and quality control.
Responsibilities
  • Perform quality control inspections on cannabis products to ensure they meet established standards before packaging and distribution.
  • Support daily packaging and production activities as needed.
  • Participate in packaging and assembly-line operations alongside other members of the production team.
  • Inspect finished cannabis products to determine whether they meet quality standards and are ready for sale.
  • Verify that batches have successfully completed required quality-control checks prior to packaging.
  • Inspect cartridges and other products that fail initial quality checks to determine whether they meet acceptable standards.
  • Accurately document defective or failed products and associated quantities.
  • Verify product labels, batch information, packaging, and finished goods for accuracy and compliance.
  • Complete required production, packaging, and quality-control documentation.
  • Identify and communicate product defects, inconsistencies, or quality concerns to supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate records throughout the production and packaging process.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary production and packaging workspace.
  • Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety requirements, and applicable cannabis regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with production and quality-control team members to meet daily production goals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or meet applicable state cannabis-industry age requirements.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a team-oriented environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects or inconsistencies.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to accurately complete documentation and follow established procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and managers.
  • Self-motivated with strong follow-through and reliability.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
