What is a package associate?

Package Associates are entry-level workers responsible for handling, sorting, packing, and preparing packages for shipment in warehouses, distribution centers, or shipping facilities. Their daily tasks may include labeling packages, scanning barcodes, organizing shipments, and ensuring items are correctly packed to prevent damage during transit. Package Associates play a vital role in the logistics and supply chain industry by ensuring that goods are processed efficiently and reach customers on time.

To excel as a Package Associate, you need strong attention to detail, basic math and organizational skills, and often a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with warehouse management systems, barcode scanners, and packaging machinery is typically required. These abilities ensure accurate order fulfillment, workplace safety, and efficient operations in a fast-paced environment.
