Packaging I

Location: 14284 Highway 41 North, Sparks GA Pay rate: $17.00 an hour

Qualifications:

  • Wear a respirator
  • Operate forklift
  • Work in high noise area

We work a 2-2-3 shift schedule between 7am-7pm. Employees work 2 consecutive days, then 2 days off, followed by 3 consecutive days of work, followed by 2 days off. The schedule includes weekends. This pattern repeats in a bi-weekly cycle.

Interviews will take place in-person.

Responsibilities:

Client, a leading agricultural chemical company, has immediate openings for Packaging I. The Job Purpose of Packaging I is to package agricultural chemicals under the direction of an Operator or Supervisor. As a packaging worker, duties will include handling boxes, jugs and other materials associated with packing operations. Compliance with site conduct, safety, security & environmental protection rules. Adhere to quality and productivity standards. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Various duties in support of formulation & packaging operations including batching, labeling, pulling, capping, boxing, wiping, stacking, etc...
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards.
  • Regular lifting and handling of material.
  • Adhere to quality and productivity standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be willing to work 10-12 hour rotating hour shifts and weekends.
  • Successful background check, pre-employment physical and drug screen required.
  • Must adhere to high safety and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and carry out instructions and training received.
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend basic arithmetic functions.
  • Manufacturing experienced preferred.
  • Climbing stairs up and down periodically required to perform the role.
  • Ability to lift at a minimum 50 lbs.
  • Ability to pass all required medical evaluations which may include respirator clearance (if needed) and background checks
