Job description

American Traveler is hiring an Electrophysiology Technologist with 3+ years experience and ARRT or RCIS certification for a 13-week assignment.
Job Details
• Work in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab setting,
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM,
• Perform procedures including cardiac ablation, arrhythmia induction, cardioversion, conduction studies, and electrophysiology evaluations,
• Assist with insertion/programming of AICDs, pacemaker insertion, and Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) closure,
• Uses fluoroscopy, Philips, and ultrasound equipment,
• Epic charting system preferred,
Job Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of experience required,
• Current BLS and ACLS required,
• ARRT (R) or CCI RCIS certification required,
• License required if applicable,
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures, sterile technique, and scrub procedures required,
• Skilled in EKG lead placement, access site preparation, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias,
• Experience with permanent and temporary pacemaker insertion, and Watchman procedures preferred,
• Knowledge of infection control and isolation precautions/PPE required,
Additional Information
• Responsibilities include accurate patient monitoring, equipment set up, and maintaining sterile fields while circulating or scrubbing in procedures,
• Role includes baseline measurements, chest tube placement, and stocking of supplies,
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible,
• Former Guthrie Healthcare System employees must be separated for a minimum of one year before returning as a traveler,
• Approximately 4 hours of non-billable modules and a completed pre-start are required before beginning the assignment,
• First-time travelers considered with appropriate experience
