At BIOTRONIK, our Field Clinical Specialists (FCS) are trusted clinical partners who make a real difference-supporting physicians, educating care teams, and advancing patient care through innovative cardiac rhythm management (CRM) technologies.
In this role, the FCS supports BIOTRONIK's full bradycardia, tachycardia, and diagnostic portfolio, traveling within the territory to partner closely with physicians, clinical teams, and sales partners to elevate both the customer and patient experience. Through expert education, implant support, follow-up care, and in-service training, the FCS ensures healthcare professionals feel confident and fully supported in using BIOTRONIK technologies at their highest potential.

Responsibilities
  • Provide independent clinical support for pacemaker and ICD implants, follow-ups, and troubleshooting
  • Partner closely with physicians and healthcare providers to support safe and effective use of BIOTRONIK technologies
  • Deliver engaging clinical education, in-services, and technical training to customers
  • Serve as a trusted clinical resource within your territory by supporting consistent, high-quality patient outcomes
  • Maintain strong knowledge of cardiac pacing, defibrillation, electrophysiology, and CRM technologies
  • Accurately document clinical activities, including implants and follow-up visits
  • Participate in on-call rotation to support 24/7 territory coverage
  • Travel within and outside your territory as needed to support customers and business needs

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Kinesiology, or related science-based field or equivalent professional experience (3+ years) in a cath lab, EP lab, or pacing/CRM environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills and able to independently prioritize work
  • Professional presence, strong customer focus, and a commitment to service excellence
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively within the territory

Travel
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24 hour /7 day a week coverage throughout the territory for evening, weekend and holiday coverage.
  • Available to work/travel weekends and evenings
  • Ability to travel outside of assigned territory with ease, as needed
  • Must be able to drive approximately 80% of the time within assigned territory
  • Must have a valid driver's license, active vehicle insurance policy and safe driving record

Physical Job Requirements
  • Consistent 2-handed lifting of up to 40 lbs., frequent pushing and pulling of product bag/programmer up to 60 pounds.
  • Sitting, standing and/or walking for up to eight plus hours per day.
  • Frequent driving to customer locations.
  • Environmental exposures include eye protection, infectious disease and radiation.
  • Consistently wear lead apron.
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Ability to effectively use a mobile phone, PC, keyboard and mouse.
  • Frequent bending/stooping, squatting and balance.
