Job Description:

Under the direction of the Regional Manager, Maintenance and Technical, the Maintenance Specialist will coordinate maintenance activities, provide technical and non-technical support, and oversee adherence to maintenance and warranty procedures at Paces nine (9) operating divisions. Essential functions include: 

  1. Coordinating supplier recalls and campaign repairs, conducts Quarterly Fleet Reviews, and Processes, track, and disburse warranty claims and credits. 
  2. Reviewing material reports and submits capital maintenance reports. 
  3. Writing and distributing service bulletins and procedures. Ability to train Maintenance personnel, participate in job interviews for mechanic and helper positions. 
  4. Investigating vehicle problems (air systems, brakes, etc.); Assist other inspectors as needed. 
  5. Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Age:

Must be 21 years of age or older. 

Education:

Must have at minimum a high school diploma or equivalency. 

Experience:

Must have at least 3 years' experience in a transit bus maintenance environment.

Certifications: 

Must have or be able to obtain a valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License.

Proficiencies:

Must be proficient in computer word processing, spreadsheets, scheduling and project management programs and computer applications to the extent required by specific job functions and must be prepared to write documents related to job duties using the word processing and other software applications. 

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires sitting for extended periods, typing on a computer, and attending meetings. 

Working Conditions:

This position is based on an office setting, with standard office equipment, including a computer, phone, and desk space. The business needs of Pace may require operating a bus in all weather conditions and being exposed to inclement weather. This position is not eligible for a hybrid work schedule or remote work.

Salary 

Full Salary Range: $56,523 - $123,507

Salary Midpoint: $90,015

Anticipated Starting Salary Range: $56,523 - $90,015
