Job description

The Parts Department is an integral part of this Companys success. The Parts Outside Sales Representative is responsible to develop and maintain customer relationships, sell and deliver products, process orders and returns, and prospect for new customers.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Secure orders from existing customers in their area of responsibility by means of visiting the customer facility or contacting by phone

Call on prospective customers to secure new business

Prepare customers orders

Inform customers of new products and services and provide quotes on cost

Follow up by phone or visit on quotes given to customers

Submit weekly activity/call reports concerning customer-related activities when required by the parts manager for quotes, orders, and problems concerning customer/vendor relationships

Provide a territory sales forecast

Drive company truck to deliver parts to customers

Collect money from customers who are on C.O.D.

Use laptop or IPad during course of business

Encourage supported customers to use the Paccar E-commerce System

Pull parts for customers

Clean delivery truck daily

Education/Training or Experience:

High School diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Intermediate to advanced computer skills required

Prior sales experience preferred

2 years experience in heavy-duty truck industry preferred
