Job description

Position Overview:
The Wardrobe Supervisor is responsible for the operation and supervision of uniform ordering, par stock maintenance, alterations, issuance, retrievals and inventory control. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Mount Airy Casino Resort policies and procedures, Internal Control standards and Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Directs the daily activities of uniform room attendants and the seamstress.
  • Responsible to maintain par stocks of uniforms based on projected usage and current inventory.
  • Consults with department management on uniform needs.
  • Instructs new employees in efficient receiving, storage, maintenance and uniform issuance.
  • Maintains department schedule consistent with department hours of operation.
  • Coordinates with vendor uniform cleaning service to ensure highest quality uniform appearance.
  • Ensures timely maintenance and resupply for all department supplies and equipment.

Essential Requirements:
  • Minimum one year in clothing cleaning, maintenance, repair or retail outlet experience.
  • Must have working knowledge of clothing purchasing, clothing care and repair and basic seamstress abilities.
  • Strong organizational and leadership qualities, interpersonal skills and dedicated commitment to excellence.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the employees throughout all levels of the Mount Airy Casino Resort.
  • Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid license as required by the PA Gaming Commission.
  • Responsible for the development and administration of the Uniform Department budgets.
  • Must demonstrate leadership, fairness and sensibility to the customers and employees.
