We are seeking a qualified P6 Scheduler to join our high performing team. The successful candidate will clearly communicate, and maintain transparency, with Customer and internal stakeholders including Project Management, Operations, Finance, and Engineering. The Scheduler will work collaboratively with cross-functional project teams to provide schedule functions for assigned projects throughout the entire duration of the projects.
Job Duties:
  • Create, update, and analyze engineering, permitting, procurement and construction schedules using P6 based on project scope and in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Assist in planning meetings, where key project stakeholders plan and discuss the major project tasks, logic, duration, and resource needs.
  • Ability to resource load schedules and create histograms for internal and external reporting.
  • Develop EPC proposal schedules as requested.
  • Review schedule with project stakeholders to confirm logic, resource, and duration, including equipment, material and permitting as needed.
  • Develop and issue the project baseline schedule and basis of schedule. Maintain the baseline schedule throughout project and provide variance analysis.
  • Regularly interact with project teams to obtain progress. Provide updates according to contract and project requirements.
  • Analyze critical path, schedule performance indicators, schedule variances from last update and against baseline. Recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Accountable for accurate and timely schedule reports, including variance analysis, critical path, summary, and schedule detail in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Actively participate in project review meetings, providing clear and accurate schedule assessment.
  • Provide proactive advice to drive successful project completion.
  • Incorporate approved changes into project schedules.
  • Ability to develop and update multiple projects within work order-based programs and EPC projects.
  • Mentor and guide internal stakeholders and Project Controls team.
  • Participate in development of Schedule Work Instructions and processes.
  • Job Qualifications/Skills: (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for this opportunity)
    • 3+ years of P6 experience.
    • 3+ years of Power Delivery project experience.
    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
    • Detail-oriented individuals who will proactively pursue and investigate issues to identify project related risks/issues.
    • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to mitigate and solve problems within tight deadlines.
    • Highly capable of working constructively and maintaining good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Efficient at data capture and analysis exercises using various enterprise systems.
    • Preferred Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.

    Physical Demands:
    • Hybrid position will require at least 3 days a week in office.
    • Travel up to 25% to support offices throughout United Utility footprint.
    • Capacity to think, concentrate and focus for extended periods of time.
    • Capacity to reason and make sound decisions.
    • Capacity to express thoughts orally
    • Ability to use a computer for extended periods of time.

    Work Environment:
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand, and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with their arms.
