Title: Outside Sales Representative
Compensation: Salary Plus Commission        
Reports to: Owner/Manager 
 
STATEMENT OF DUTIES
 
Summary: Glass Doctor is a full-service glass company active in auto, home, and commercial glass.  We are looking for a diligent and competitive individual to proactively seek out and close new business opportunities in collaboration with the Glass Doctor leadership team. An ideal candidate will have demonstrated sales ability and be equally as comfortable attending a Chamber lunch as jumping in to help a technician complete an installation. Compensation will be largely performance-based, offering unlimited earning potential.
 
Primary Function: Sell Glass Doctor services to business and commercial establishments, builders and contractors, insurance agencies, property managers and others as designated by the Owner/Manager. This will entail telephone and in-person sales calls which may be cold calls or pre-scheduled meetings. While this position includes relationship selling, the current focus is sourcing and securing new business. 
 
Duties and Responsibilities
 
1.      Compile lists of prospective customers.
 
2.      Travel throughout the Treasure Valley Glass Doctor service area to prospect for new business and continue to grow sales with current customers.
 
3.      Be prepared to discuss in detail the features and benefits if Glass Doctor’s services. Utilize Glass Doctor literature and brochures when appropriate.
 
4.      Since everyone is a potential customer, this position requires strong time-management and discretion to prioritize use of time and focus on the highest value opportunities.
 
5.      Consult regularly with the Owner/Manager to discuss sales results and upcoming opportunities. Enter pertinent information into a contact manager to have a record of prospects, existing customers, and activities and progress with those accounts.
 
6.      Participate in setting up and selling at trade shows if requested to do so. 
 
7.      Perform other duties incidental to the work described herein.

Education and/or Experience
 
1.      Minimum of high school diploma, college degree preferred. 
 
2.      Proven success in a sales position. Work experience in glass, property maintenance, or construction is a plus.
 
3.      Computer literacy and the ability to use standard office applications.
 
Other Requirements
 
1.      Ability to read and understand procedure manuals, write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively in front of groups. 
 
2.      Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
 
3.      Have and maintain a valid driver's license.
 
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
