Job Description Overview *** This position is contingent upon contract award *** SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Mechanic to provide support for a Facilities and Life Support Contract performed at an overseas location. Essential Job Duties * Must be thoroughly familiar with HVACR maintenance of equipment.
* Thorough knowledge of refrigeration, HVACR systems.
* A record of safe operations and working knowledge of safety standards for mechanical systems.
* Knowledge of building and safety codes and practices.
* Must be able to read blueprints and perform material take-offs from prints.
* Must possess leadership skills.
* Must possess the skills and attitudes to effectively communicate with the customer and subordinates. Qualifications Minimum Requirements * Active in scope Secret clearance.
* High school (or GED equivalent), technical school, or trade school graduate or equivalent apprenticeship to include formalized training in stationary engineering.
* Qualification/certification as an HVACR mechanic.
* Eight (8) years of experience in the HVACR trades, to include two (2) years or more supervisory experience.
* Possess a Universal CFC refrigerant handling license. Additional Information Work Environment * Must reside at an overseas location.
* Long hours, exposure to harsh weather and other hazardous conditions.
* Wear of location appropriate PPE and clothing when in the field is required.
