Job description

Summary of Job:
A Security Guard Supervisor manages a team of guards to ensure the guards follow all protocol in protecting and securing the client's premises and employees. General duties and responsibilities include providing security services to a variety of clients as well as direct communication with the client. These duty posts include Federal government, manufacturing and distribution facilities, schools and colleges, religious institutions, retail sites and any other fixed or temporary location as needed or required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Write and submit security reports
Protect the people and property
Conduct routine patrols with team
Hire and manage all aspects of their guard team
Provide training including new hire
Communicate effectively with client management, employees, and visitor
Ensure that site supervisors understand, and comply with, all applicable EEOC, wage and hour, and other laws governing employment.
Ensure that the security team is providing quality service to its clients and personnel are performing in a manner consistent with established policies, contracts, and applicable laws.
Identify problems or issues and develop and implement solutions.
Oversee, through supervision of site supervisors, the staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for security officers and supervisors assigned to his/her area.
Ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel are met.
Communicate with L4 executive management to ensure they are apprised of all noteworthy items at his/her site.
Other tasks as management will assign.
Qualifications
Must have a High School diploma or GED
Can operate a firearm and can receive appropriate licensures.
Ability to provide excellent customer service verbally and in writing.
Must possess critical thinking skills and have the ability to be alert and appropriately deal with escalated and crisis/emergency situations.
Ability to multi-task
Ability to operate a computer and other security devices.
Depending on the client and state, must be able to obtain required training and licensures.
Must have previous experience as a police officer, military police officer or security guard
Must have no criminal record.
Physical Demands (Expectations include, but not limited to, one or more of the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation)
Ability to sit for an extended periods of time
Walk up and down stairs Patrolling the client's facility (length and period to be determined by client)
Stand for long periods of time, sometimes more than eight hours
Work outside in a variety of weather conditions depending on the assignment
