Job description

Fortrend Engineering is a leading provider of semiconductor automation and wafer handling solutions. We are seeking a motivated Technical Sales Engineer to join our growing U.S. team.

This role combines technical sales, customer support, quotation management, and project coordination throughout the complete sales cycle—from initial customer inquiry to project delivery. You will work closely with customers, engineering teams, and global manufacturing operations to deliver technical solutions for the semiconductor industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical and commercial support.
  • Understand customer applications and recommend suitable products and solutions.
  • Participate in technical discussions, customer meetings, product demonstrations, and equipment reviews.
  • Prepare quotations and follow up on opportunities through purchase order.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Logistics to ensure successful project execution.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity reports.
  • Collaborate with customers and global teams in the U.S. and Asia.
  • Travel to customer sites, trade shows, and overseas factories as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in technical sales, project coordination, or the semiconductor, automation, or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to understand technical products and work effectively with engineering teams.
  • Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and customer‑focused.
  • Experience reading engineering drawings or using 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks or AutoCAD) is a plus.
