Earn $625 to $1,625 on every sale you close.

Skald Studio (skaldstudio.io) is a small, premium web design and publishing studio. We build custom websites for small businesses and personal brands. Real design work, not templates, and every client owns 100% of what we build for them. Our packages are $2,500 (Starter) and $6,500 (Studio), plus custom enterprise work.

I'm looking for an independent sales rep to find and close new clients. You bring the conversations. Once a contract is signed, I handle everything else: design, build, delivery, and support.

What you'll actually do

  • Find small businesses and personal brands that need a new or better website. Your methods, your network, your hours.
  • Pitch Skald Studio using ready-made sales assets: a branded proposal PDF, live portfolio, and pricing sheet.
  • Book and run discovery conversations. Close the deal yourself, or bring me in for a joint close on warm prospects.
  • Keep a simple pipeline and check in with me async. No daily standups, no call quotas.

Compensation. Read this before applying.

  • This is a commission-only role with no base salary. If nothing closes, nothing is earned. I'd rather say that plainly here than surprise you later.
  • You earn 25% of every closed project: $625 on a $2,500 Starter build, $1,625 on a $6,500 Studio build. Enterprise deals pay 25% of whatever closes.
  • Commissions are paid out when the client's payment clears. No caps, no territories.

Who this fits

  • You've sold on commission before. Web design, marketing, insurance, B2B services, whatever. The muscle matters more than the industry.
  • You can generate your own leads through cold outreach, local networking, or a small business network you already have.
  • You communicate clearly in writing and on calls without needing a script.
  • You want a real product to sell: custom design, fast delivery, full client ownership. This is not a white-label template mill.

  • Existing relationships with small businesses that need websites
  • A rough sense of how websites get scoped and priced

The arrangement

This is a 1099 independent contractor engagement. You set your own schedule, use your own methods, and get paid entirely on results. We sign a written sales rep agreement covering commission terms and payment timing before your first deal.

Skald Studio is a premium, founder-led web design and publishing studio (skaldstudio.io). The name comes from the Old Norse skald, the court poet who kept a people's stories alive. That's the job we do for a brand: forge a digital presence worth owning.

We build fully custom websites for small businesses and personal brands. Real design work, never templates. Two things set our work apart, and they make it an easy sell:

- The client owns everything. Every line of code, every image, every word is theirs outright. No subscriptions, no platform landlords, no website that vanishes when a SaaS company hikes its pricing.
- SEO is forged into the build, not bolted on. Structure, speed, and schema go in from day one, so the site is built to get found.

Packages run from $2,500 to $6,500, with custom enterprise builds above that. Our clients range from local service businesses and personal brands to card shops and telehealth practices, and delivery is fast.
