Job description

Job Summary:
NFL Media is looking for a Video Streaming Engineer to join their Digital Media Group. The role involves managing video streaming infrastructure, supporting live streaming events, and ensuring high-quality video delivery for NFL's digital media presence.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Manage audio profiles and design cadence for audio distribution.
โ€ข Support and maintain video on demand infrastructure.
โ€ข Perform analysis, diagnosis and resolution of the entire video workflow starting with encoding/transcoding hardware/software through CDN delivery to streaming video players and associated authentication and entitlement systems.
โ€ข Video feed acquisition setup, monitoring and troubleshooting.
โ€ข Support live streaming events during NFL game windows (nights/weekends/must have flexible schedule).
โ€ข Configure, test and implement appropriate codec settings for live and video on demand streaming.
โ€ข Conduct daily inspections of video streaming infrastructure.
โ€ข Maintain documentation of hardware maintenance, configuration, failures, removal, and installation.
โ€ข Maintain and cultivate relationships with current and existing vendors/partners to improve video quality of service and experience.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข BS degree and/or equivalent experience.
โ€ข Solid troubleshooting experience is a MUST.
โ€ข Proven video streaming and media workflow experience and in-depth knowledge, and understanding of streaming technologies.
โ€ข Experience with live streaming encoders such as Elemental, Anvato.
โ€ข Experience with video streaming tools as example QoS Monitoring, CDN Portals is required.
โ€ข Knowledge of streaming providers and vendors: CDN's, Cloud Providers, OVP's, Encoding Hardware/Software, etc.
โ€ข Strong Knowledge of Video Content Management Systems, video player development and video security.
โ€ข Experience working with different encoding technologies.
โ€ข Linux administration experience.
