Position Summary:
The Remote Supports Professional (RSP) plays a dual role in delivering overnight support through technology-enabled remote monitoring and providing in-person backup coverage when needed at homes across Arc Prince George's County. This blended position helps ensure real time responsiveness, consistent support, and emergency coverage while promoting safety, autonomy, and dignity for individuals served. This role is ideal for someone who is tech-comfortable, calm under pressure, and able to quickly transition between remote monitoring and on-site intervention. This blended RSP/Roamer role strengthens the agency's ability to provide safe, flexible overnight coverage while embracing technology-first models of care. The incumbent may be reassigned to fully remote or fully in person support roles based on program needs; This position has no direct reports.
Working Days & Hours:
Remote Monitoring (Overnight)
Monitor alerts and activity via smart tech
Respond to incidents in real time
Provide audio/video support as needed
Document shifts and responses
Roaming / In-Person Support
Provide on-site backup coverage
Assist with ADLs and safety needs
Coordinate with remote staff

- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelorโs degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
- Previous DSP, direct care, or tech-based human services experience strongly preferred.
- Comfortable with software platforms, video monitoring tools, and assistive technologies.
- Ability to operate smartphones, tablets, PCs, communication platforms, and cloud-based alert systems.
- Calm and composed under pressure, especially during emergencies.
- Clear, empathetic communicator (remote and in-person).
- Flexible and dependable with a willingness to travel overnight as needed.
- Strong understanding of person-centered support and trauma-informed care.
