We are actively seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our established overnight ER/ICU team. Generous overnight shift differential offered.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional nursing care utilizing advanced technical skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, radiography, emergency triage, diagnostic sample collection, and critical patient monitoring
  • Play a vital role in the treatment and stabilization of emergency and hospitalized patients
  • Assist with emergency procedures, surgeries, anesthetic induction and monitoring, and post-operative patient care
  • Advocate for patients and support clients with empathy, compassion, and professionalism during stressful situations
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the electronic medical record system
  • Collaborate closely with doctors and fellow team members to provide the highest level of patient care
  • Mentor and support fellow technicians and assistants while continuing to grow your own knowledge and skill set
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician in a small animal clinical setting
  • Emergency and/or specialty experience strongly preferred
  • Veterinary Technician licensure preferred
  • Strong technical and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in medical math calculations including drug dosages, CRIs, and conversions
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and remain calm in high-pressure situations
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and passion for high-quality veterinary medicine
  • Ability to lift and restrain pets weighing at least 40 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods

  • Competitive pay:
    • Non-credentialed Techs: $20 to $29
    • Credentialed Techs: $22 to $31
    • VTS: $29 to $35
    • Plus $5/hour shift differential after 8pm for 2nd/3rd shift
