Since 1993, T2 Utility Engineers has provided professional Subsurface Utility Engineering and surveying services in support of infrastructure projects of all sizes and types. Using advanced technologies, our team of field technicians, engineers, and surveyors, provide quality data and professional insight to help our clients visualize, plan, and design their projects. Our mission is to provide project stakeholders with quality information, professional insight and deliverables that streamline construction, improve project safety and set the standard for the engineering industry.


SUE Technician III responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Mastery in the operation of SUE utility locating and designating equipment in complex utility infrastructure environments to accurately map all utilities within the project area
  • Complete detailed accurate daily reports, forms and field sketches, both electronically as well as draft by hand
  • Supervise daily SUE field crew activities and train other crew members
  • Represent and communicate on behalf of T2ue with client, sub-contractors, and third parties during field activities
  • Effective maintenance, cleaning, and operation of vehicles, equipment, tools and supplies
  • Facilitate Daily Tailgate Safety Meetings
  • Perform Daily Job Hazard Analysis with crew members
  • Drive commercial motor vehicles, however a CDL license is not required
  • Direct safety set-up for proper of traffic signage
  • Complete monthly equipment inventory for Supervisor reorder


Tech III Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2+ years experience as a SUE Field Technician II
  • Ability to read and interpret utility company prints and design plans
  • Must have a good oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record
  • Ability to secure client-required identity verification, such as TWIC and SWAC
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical (U.S. only)
  • Ability to obtain a DOT medical card for CMV operation (U.S. only)
  • Ability toilet 50 lbs. and perform physical movements necessary to operate heavy tools and equipment
  • Ability to work outdoors in all climates
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, by company vehicle or commercial airline, up to2 week continuous stay.
  • OSHA Safety certifications are a plus
