Job description

General Summary

Under general supervision, but in line with established policies and procedures, provide training on New Account processes and procedures. Perform all duties of a Trainer in a professional and helpful manner.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties              

  • Responsible for staying up to date on and complying with all applicable banking laws and regulations as well as CNB policies and procedures.
  • Train all new employees coming to the New Account Representative position.
  • Train existing New Account Representatives on new products as well as offer refresher training to those in need of such.
  • Manage and maintain the Test Bank module of Fiserv as well as assuring that the equipment in the training room is working properly.
  • Answer New Account Representative’s questions on all New Account processes and procedures.
  • Keep up to date on CNBs product knowledge and provide detailed explanations of all bank products and services except for Lending.
  • Partner with IT to confirm those newly promoted to New Account role have necessary user access.
  • Set up new user access for certain websites including Simplexes and Onboard Advisor.
  • Partner with New Account Review Department to ensure all written procedures are complete, correct, and current.
  • Partner with applicable departments to establish any missing procedures/instructions.
  • Maintain and organize written procedures and other training resources on the W Drive and Intranet.
  • Assist in the facilitation of weekly New Account Meetings.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Work cooperatively with others.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in the job classification.

Skills and Abilities Required

  • Must have great communication with all staff by answering phones, emails, and other forms of communication.
  • Must be comfortable with Public Speaking.
  • Must keep Training Coordinator apprised of all issues and follow up to issues.
  • Must present a professional appearance.
  • Must be highly organized and a self- starter.
  • Must be customer oriented.
  • Must be proficient in Fiserv Operation related Processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with trainees and personnel of other departments.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain good customer service even if conditions are not favorable i.e., computer systems down, phone systems not working properly, staff shorthanded.
  • Experience preferred in use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, & Excel).
  • Must be comfortable with a variety of computer applications and websites.

Travel

  • Travel is mainly local during the business day, with occasional overnight stays for training.

Working Conditions

  • Common office environment
  • Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery. Receives detailed instructions concerning procedures to be followed for minimal exposure.

Physical Requirements

  • Move and carry office supplies, files and equipment weighing 10+ pounds.
  • Constantly operates a computer, iPad, calculator, copy machine, printer, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to use auditory senses for answering telephone and hearing alarms.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time to process work.
