Job description

Urology Clinic 

40 hours per week

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced registered nurse to join our team in the Urology Clinic! The Inpatient/Procedural Urology RN will provide specialized nursing care to a variety of adult patients with BPH, urologic cancers, urinary dysfunction, UTI’s, gender reassignment, and many other general urology conditions.

This position is primarily procedural based with duties including the administration of chemotherapy, biotherapy and other agents into the bladder; patient education; urethral and suprapubic catheter changes; assisting providers with sterile procedures such as vasectomies and cystoscopies; triage; and injections. We are seeking a well-rounded, clinically strong nurse who can work both independently and in collaboration with the entire urology team.

Our clinic treats patients Monday-Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, excluding holidays. We are flexible and willing to utilize a schedule that works for both you and our team.   1. Manages interpersonal relationships for self and with others.
  2. Mentors colleagues for the advancement of nursing practice and the profession.
  3. Assumes authority and accountability for the nursing care of patients while appropriately delegating elements of care to others members of the care delivery team in accordance with laws, regulations and policies and procedures.
  4. Prioritizes and organizes time to optimize patient outcomes.

Scientist

  1. Actively seeks out the most current evidence and standards and applies and translates to daily practice.
  2. Role models a culture of inquiry, developing new knowledge by contributing to research, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice at the local level.

  3. Precepts the student nurse, nurse extern, nurse resident, experienced clinical nurse and other members of the healthcare team.

  • Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

  • Licensed Registered Nurse with New Hampshire eligibility.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required upon hire.
