DESCRIPTION:
Join Unity Lab Services at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Lead Inventory Coordinator, where you'll coordinate daily workflow and contribute to excellence in laboratory service and support. You'll manage a team responsible for inventory operations, from stockroom and dock management to chemical tracking and material handling. As the site subject-matter expert, you'll collaborate between customers and Thermo Fisher Scientific, identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost savings. Your oversight will be essential in maintaining inventory accuracy, implementing SOPs, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working for a global leader in serving science, where your contributions help make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 4 years of experience in inventory management or warehouse operations
• Experience working in GxP environment required
• Demonstrated team management abilities
• Proficiency in SAP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office suite
• IATA/DOT Hazardous Goods certification required or ability to obtain within 3-6 months
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-oriented environment
• Forklift certification preferred
• Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to work in various environments including cold storage and chemical areas
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and safety protocols
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed
• Valid driver's license required
• Experience with cycle counting and inventory reconciliation
• Knowledge of cGMP standards and quality control procedures
