Teleradiologist
Position Summary
A healthcare organization is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Diagnostic Radiologist to provide remote interpretation of medical imaging studies across multiple clinical settings. This role focuses on delivering timely, accurate diagnostic reports, maintaining high-quality standards, and collaborating with referring providers to support optimal patient care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret diagnostic imaging studies remotely, including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine (as credentialed)
  • Generate accurate, timely, and clinically relevant radiology reports
  • Communicate critical and urgent findings in accordance with established protocols
  • Provide consultative support to referring physicians and clinical teams
  • Maintain compliance with quality assurance, patient safety, and regulatory standards
  • Participate in peer review and continuous quality improvement initiatives
  • Utilize PACS, RIS, and voice recognition systems for image interpretation and reporting
  • Meet turnaround time expectations and assigned coverage schedules
  • Support appropriate imaging utilization and evidence-based practice standards
Practice Setting
  • Fully remote or hybrid teleradiology environment
  • Coverage may include hospitals, emergency departments, and outpatient imaging centers
  • Flexible scheduling options, including day, evening, overnight, or weekend shifts depending on organizational needs
Patient Population
  • Pediatric and adult patients
  • Broad range of diagnostic imaging needs across inpatient and outpatient care settings
Work Environment
  • Remote, technology-enabled clinical setting within a collaborative care model

Requirements
Qualifications
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency program
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Eligible for medical licensure in applicable states
  • Fellowship training in a radiology subspecialty preferred but not required
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong diagnostic accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency across multiple imaging modalities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Familiarity with teleradiology workflows and technology platforms
