Job description

As a Mobile Technician, you are always on the move, utilizing innovative mobile e-commerce technology, and fulfilling customers' tire and service needs. You will be responsible for operating one of our state-of-the-art vans serving customers at their homes and places of work. But your job goes beyond installing tires, you will engage with customers directly and may be answering any tire and/or service questions they may have.
Essential Functions:
  • Performing basic tire services (e.g., mounting and balancing tires, tire repairs) using a Tire discounters Mobile service van mainly amongst some minor service items including oil changes.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service by answering questions, explaining the installation process, while always fully understanding the customer's needs
  • Demonstrating proficient knowledge of our products and services including warranties, promotions, and advertisements
  • Working as part of the Tire Discounters team with the store network and customer service
  • Enjoy daily independence on your route, safely driving the van between appointments, and representing Tire Discounters proudly and professionally.
  • Performing a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.
  • Opportunity to travel to other cities outside of your home market to train others or receive additional training on new technology and techniques.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Strong experience servicing vehicles and utilizing professional equipment.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • You must be at least 18 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Education and Work Experience:
  • Previous tire installation experience and vehicle service experience
  • ASE certified preferred.
  • High school diploma/GED

Physical demands:
  • This position requires continuous standing, bending, lifting.
  • Ability to lift 85 pounds.
  • Working conditions occasionally involve exposure to inclement weather conditions.
  • Ability to work independently, follow schedules, and enjoy solving problems while also being part of a larger Tire Discounters team.
  • Be a clear communicator with others, making every interaction with customers approachable, simple and informative.
  • You enjoy working with technology, including mobile phone applications and vehicle servicing equipment including state of the art tire changing and balancing equipment.
  • You are excellent at managing your time, but also flexible knowing your schedule won't always be the same.
  • This position requires the ability to read, understand, and follow all procedures and guidelines.
  • Depending on location, our business may be open 6 days a week which can include some weekends, holiday shifts, and/or overnight schedules.
