Description

ReachKCK, a Catholic youth outreach ministry serving teens and young adults in Wyandotte County, is seeking a Coordinator. This role creates opportunities for youth and young adults to encounter Jesus Christ and grow in their Catholic faith. The youth coordinator collaborates with volunteers and ministry leaders to expand community outreach, communicate programming effectively, and support volunteer engagement. This position full-time and benefits eligible and requires availability for evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight events.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and lead youth ministry programs, retreats, service opportunities, and evangelization events that advance the mission of ReachKCK.

Recruit, train, and support volunteers and ministry leaders in accordance with Archdiocesan policies and Safe Environment requirements.

Collaborate with parishes, schools, pastors, families, and community partners to expand outreach and strengthen youth engagement.

Coordinate ministry communications, event logistics, records, and other administrative responsibilities necessary for effective program operation.

Provide pastoral accompaniment and mentorship to youth while fostering a welcoming, faith-filled, and mission-oriented ministry environment.

Complies with all Archdiocesan policies, including Safe Environment standards, risk management procedures, and youth ministry best practices.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrate strong servant leadership while delivering support to pastors and parishes.

Use strong verbal, written, and social media communication skills to exchange information clearly and concisely and deliver concepts, opinions and ideas in a professional manner.

Build relationships with high school youth and young adults throughout Wyandotte County, inviting them to encounter Jesus Christ and participate actively in the life of the Church.

View service to internal or external constituents as a priority to continuously strive to meet and exceed needs, requests and expectations.

Promote a sense of collaboration and teamwork; share information and learning; keep others informed to help promote Archdiocesan strategy and goals.

Demonstrate ability to engage and evangelize adolescents from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.


Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required; undergraduate degree in related filed is helpful and preferred.

Minimum three (3) years of experience in youth ministry required.

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

Bilingual Spanish/English language proficiency preferred. 

Experience planning retreats, conferences, service opportunities, and youth events preferred.

Practicing Catholic in good standing required.
