Join Hitachi Energy as a Manufacturing Supervisor in Jefferson City, Missouri, and take the lead in driving performance, teamwork, and operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader who thrives on developing people, improving processes, and delivering results.
In this role, you will guide a talented production team while helping to ensure a safe, efficient, and high-performing workplace. You will play a key role in meeting production goals, maintaining quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives that make a real impact on our operations and customers. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help solve challenges, optimize workflows, and create an environment where employees can succeed and grow.
This position supports our overnight weekend shift schedule, working 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM on Saturdays and Sundays, plus one additional 12-hour shift during the week. This unique schedule offers the opportunity to lead critical operations during key production hours while maintaining a compressed work week.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Lead and inspire a team of production employees to achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and efficiency targets.
  • Foster a safe, organized, and positive work environment through coaching, training, and employee engagement.
  • Schedule and assign resources effectively to meet production demands and minimize backlog.
  • Monitor production performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Analyze operational data and implement solutions that enhance manufacturing efficiency.
  • Support employee development through training, performance feedback, and ongoing mentorship.
  • Address production and personnel challenges with professionalism, collaboration, and sound decision-making.
  • Build strong partnerships across teams to align priorities and ensure operational success.

Your Background
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working in industrial manufacturing environments and supporting operational performance.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to work across shifts and support periodic weekend operations as business needs require.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability and willingness to support an overnight weekend schedule consisting of 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, plus one additional 12-hour weekday shift.
