Shift TypeVaried (Overnight Position)Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDepending on experience, the essential duties, responsibilities, and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) outlined below may be taught and demonstrated during the Facilities Porter training process:
- Reports directly to the Facilities Supervisor
- Responsible for cleaning the Casino, Dining Halls, Employee Dining Hall, Administrative Offices, Banquet Rooms, and all public and employee restrooms
- Vacuums and mops floors safely while utilizing caution signs
- Empties and cleans ashtrays and removes empty drink glasses
- Cleans all windows, mirrors, glass surfaces, and walls as needed
- Collects and disposes of trash and wipes down trash containers when needed
- Maintains clean and well-stocked public and employee restrooms
- Cleans, organizes, and stocks all supply closets
- Responds promptly to all radio calls and cleaning emergencies
- Removes boxes or trash in walking areas in a timely manner
- Cleans gaming machines around guests unobtrusively and politely
- Cleans debris from guest and employee entrances, sidewalks, and parking lots as needed
- Removes debris or obstructions around emergency exits (inside and outside)
- Inspects entrances, exits, sidewalks, loading docks, and ramps/stairs for snow and ice; removes snow and applies ice melt as needed
- Observes and promptly cleans trash, debris, spills, full trash containers, dirty ashtrays, drink glasses, mirrors, windows, and glass surfaces
- Uses proper protective equipment (gloves, masks) when handling chemicals
- Maintains tools and equipment and reports repair/replacement needs
- May accept, unload, and store deliveries
- Reports safety hazards and ensures timely resolution
- Reports suspicious activity to Security and Supervisor
- Assists all departments in maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe environment
- Maintains a positive and professional demeanor with guests, coworkers, and vendors
- Provides courteous assistance to guests (directions, questions, etc.)
- Follows all company and departmental policies and procedures
- Works varying schedules and attends mandatory meetings
- Performs all other duties as assigned

- Ability to learn tasks specific to a casino gaming environment
- Ability to operate all Facilities Department tools and equipment
- Basic cell phone skills (texting, group messaging, sending photos/videos, using simple apps)
Education and/or Experience- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of six months' experience as a casino porter or similar (preferred)
Age and Gaming- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Non-gaming position
Language Skills- Ability to read, write, and understand English and/or Spanish
- Ability to respond to inquiries, complaints, and emergencies
- Fluency in English required; Spanish preferred
Mathematical Skills- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals)
Reasoning Ability- Ability to apply common-sense judgment to complete assigned tasks
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this overnight position, the employee is regularly required to:
- Stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, climb, and balance
- Use hands to handle tools, inspect, push, pull, and lift
- Lift and carry items up to 50 pounds
- Reach with hands and arms, kneel, and sit as needed
- Maintain hand-eye coordination
Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Work Environment- Work occurs in varying levels of crowds, noise, and smoke depending on location and customer volume
- Primarily indoors in a climate-controlled environment, with some outdoor duties
- Noise levels range from loud to excessive
- Must be available to work overnight and varying schedules, based on business needs
