Job description

SEEKING SIGN INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN to oversee the installation, maintenance, repair or removal of various types of signage. Duties include transporting signage materials on large trucks and traveling to build extensions or replace physical parts and lighting for signs with electric components. Perform electrical work, including wiring and connecting signs to power sources. Ensure that signs are installed safely and securely, following all safety protocols and regulations. Requires communication with clients and project managers to ensure that installations meet their specifications and expectations.

Experience working with heavy materials, as well as with different types of wires and bolts, may also be useful. To be successful in this career, you should be comfortable with heights. General knowledge of handheld tools and light equipment required.

Starting wage is an experience-related determination. Performance-based Incentive pay is also offered to our technicians, in addition to hourly wage, according to sales percentage of job completions.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED; supplemented by three (3) years experience in public sign installation and repair, and the ability to perform labor intensive work within difficult environmental conditions to include frequent lifting, pulling and pushing of 50 lbs.; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

REQUESTED SKILLS

· Sign installation experience.

· CDL license is preferred but not necessary.

· Knowledge of basic electrical parts & practices.

· Willingness to stay until the job is complete and working overtime.

· Likes to travel and complete different tasks daily.

· Ability to work at heights in excess of 50 feet.

· Self-motivated individual who can stay on task without direct supervision.

· Demonstrate the ability to lead.

· Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

· Good communication skills.

· Customer service mentality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Installation of various types of electrical signage (monuments, pylons, cabinets etc.).

· Installation of vinyl, directionals and non-lit signage.

· Travel to and from job sites in a crane or bucket truck. Some jobs will require you to be out of town overnight.

· Electrical wiring of signage.

· Completing assigned tasks with and without direct supervision.

· Dig footings using various methods.

· Welding of signage to complete installation.

· Physically be able lift and move without restrictions.

· Operation of lifts and light to heavy equipment.
