Full Time Overnight Security Officer

Shift: Wednesday, Thursday (Burlington, MA) & Friday, Saturday (Bedford, MA)

Pay Rate: $20.50/hour

Location: Burlington, MA / Bedford, MA

Securitas Security Services is seeking a dependable and professional Security Officer to support operations at client sites in Bedford, MA & Burlington, MA The Security Officer will help maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, contractors, visitors, and company property through routine patrols, access control, and incident response procedures.

This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, customer-service focused, and comfortable working independently in an industrial setting during weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor facility access points and verify employee, contractor, and visitor credentials 
  • Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the manufacturing site 
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security concerns 
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation accurately and professionally 
  • Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and client requests 
  • Enforce client site policies and security procedures 
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors 
  • Maintain communication with site management and Securitas leadership throughout the shift 
  • Assist with emergency response procedures, including evacuations and medical incidents when necessary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous security, military, manufacturing, or customer service experience preferred but not required 
  • Strong communication and observation skills 
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods 
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment 
  • Basic computer and report-writing skills 
  • Must pass background screening and any required drug testing 
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
