Job description

Position: Rotating Equipment Engineer
The Rotating Equipment Group is currently comprised of 17 companies spread throughout the United States and still growing! Responsibilities:
  • Review and document As Received equipment conditions.
  • Review and Mark-Up drawings (Standard and CAD) of equipment parts and assemblies.
  • Prepare repair quotes and work scopes for customer equipment repairs.
  • Collaborate with Sales to communicate As Founds and proposals to customers.
  • Review job packets to ensure complete and accurate repair of customer equipment.
  • Assist the service team in generating lead times and schedules for the work in the shop.
  • Write up job requirements and effectively communicate with the OTC team and customers.
  • Quote and purchase parts and materials for production jobs.
  • Create repair reports on serviced equipment for customer review.
  • Meet with outside vendors for special 3rd party needs, including but not limited to: machining and fabrication processes.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Skills Required:
  • 4 year degree in engineering AND work experience with rotating equipment repairs required.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Strong communication, organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in constructive and timely manner.
  • Ability to deal with customers and co-workers in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Drafting and CAD skills are a plus.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to read and understand dimensional drawing, exploded view drawings, and cut section drawings.
  • Ability to complete required safety training classes and comply with OSHA, MSHA or any authority having jurisdiction.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to travel to other locations for temporary assignments, meetings, and training involving some overnight travel required.
  • Highly motivated with interpersonal skills to effectively work in a collaborative team environment that includes shared responsibilities, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others, supporting team and company objectives, and a willingness to work in all areas required by the team.
