Job description

New Haven Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, part of Essential Care, is located in a beautiful North End of New Haven minutes from I91 and I95, on the North Haven and North Branford town line. 

We are looking for a dynamic RN supervisor to work with our newly hired DNS, ADNS, and experienced nursing team. This is a Monday thru Friday position (Occasional weekend on-call) The right candidate will lead their shift to ensure top quality resident care and customer service. The right candidate must be a great communicator and communicate with staff and management alike.

Position:

Full Time (40 hours per week) RN Supervisor

11pm-7am Monday - Friday

Duties of RN Supervisor:

  • Oversee unit
  • Assist with treatment and medication administration
  • Assist with Admissions
  • Attend and participate in weekly meetings
  • Conduct daily audits of all new admission charts
  • Serve as liaison between family, patient, doctor and other departments
  • Investigate all incident reports and follow-up
  • Participate in managing staff and assignments to ensure quality of care
  • Participate and report on patient conditions in weekly risk meetings
  • Participate in annual evaluations of staff 

Qualifications:

  •         Must have current CT RN license
  •         Must have supervisory experience
  •         Must have excellent leadership and communication skills
