How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Oversee patient care delivery within the unit to ensure high-quality standards, compliance with healthcare regulations, and adherence to evidence-based nursing practices.
  • Recruit, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, fostering a collaborative work environment and managing shift scheduling to ensure adequate unit coverage.
  • Manage the unit's operational budget, optimize the allocation of medical supplies and equipment, and monitor productivity metrics to control costs.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, families, physicians, and administrative teams to resolve grievances and coordinate seamless, interdisciplinary care.
  • Lead unit-based quality improvement initiatives, analyzing patient outcomes and safety data to implement protocols that reduce medical errors and improve patient satisfaction.
What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date.

Education:

  • Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulativeleadership experience required.
