These professionals use their clinical expertise to review charts, identify medical facts, and provide objective assessments that may be used in legal proceedings. Their work helps attorneys understand medical issues, determine standard of care, and assess if there were any deviations or negligence. This role is crucial in legal cases involving medical malpractice, personal injury, or insurance claims, and often requires a strong background in both nursing and legal concepts.
