Job description

Job Summary

Highpointe Surgery Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Evening/Overnight Registered Nurse to join our team in the PACU on a Part-Time basis. As a PACU Nurse, you will provide direct patient care from patients coming out of surgery and extending that care through the evening and possibly overnight stay. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the successful outcomes of our patients.


Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' conditions before, during, and after surgery.
  • Administer medications as directed by the physicians and anesthesia orders.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, airway, wounds, and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the entire post-op process.
  • Assist PRN preparing preop patients for surgery.
  • Document input and output, medications, pain and interventions provided.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.


Qualifications:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Utah
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a PACU nurse or in a similar role
  • Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the entire team
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions when necessary
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
