Pediatric Anesthesiologist Partnership Opportunity at ECU Health Medical Center – Maynard’s Children’s Hospital, Greenville, NC.

The position offers a partnership path, a $100,000 signing bonus (potentially higher for fellows), a biannual bonus, and comprehensive benefits. The role is appropriate for board‑certified anesthesiologists with pediatric fellowship training who are interested in performing complex pediatric cases while maintaining some adult anesthesia coverage.

Responsibilities
  • Provide anesthesia for all pediatric surgical, procedural, and diagnostic services, including routine general surgery, neurosurgery, plastic and craniofacial surgery, orthopedics, ENT, urology, renal transplant, cardiac catheterization, radiology, audiology, pulmonary, GI, hematology/oncology, and radiation treatments.
  • Offer regional anesthesia for postoperative pain management.
  • Provide anesthesia for off‑site locations such as radiology, cardiac cath lab, audiology, pulmonary, GI, HEM/ONC procedures, and radiation treatments.
  • Occasional bedside cardiac anesthesia for PDA cases.
  • Provide general adult anesthesia coverage as required by the Level1 ECU Health system.
  • Participate in call rotations (≈1 day per week, 1 weekend per month, occasional in‑house overnight shifts, and backup coverage after 7pm).
  • Engage in academic activities such as teaching, lectures, and research on a voluntary basis (optional). Participation as adjunct faculty at ECU Schools of Medicine or Nursing may be pursued.
Scheduling

Call schedule averages 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month with occasional overnight shifts. After call, a day off is provided. Majority of remaining call days are pediatric backup with part‑time backup after 7pm.

Qualifications / Skills
