This role is often performed remotely, allowing individuals to work from home or another off-site location. The primary responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy and completeness of medical documentation, verifying coding and billing information, and supporting compliance with healthcare regulations. These professionals play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and integrity of patient records, which are essential for proper patient care and reimbursement.

Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, chart review software, and secure data management platforms is typically required. Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and independent problem-solving skills help individuals stand out in this remote and time-sensitive role. These abilities ensure accurate, confidential, and timely chart reviews that support patient care quality and regulatory compliance.
