This LCSW position is structured as a remote role, providing flexibility while ensuring that our social worker can effectively support clients in a school setting. • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments for students and their families to identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and concerns, specifically related to their educational experience and emotional well-being.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic interventions, including crisis intervention, individual counseling, group support sessions, and family therapy, tailored to meet the specific needs of the student population.
• Develop, implement, and monitor personalized intervention plans that involve collaboration with educators, families, and other healthcare professionals to foster positive outcomes.
• Facilitate effective discharge planning and transition strategies for students returning to school after hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care through ongoing support.
• Provide education and counseling to families regarding healthcare options, coping strategies, and resources available to support their loved ones.
• Engage with the multidisciplinary healthcare team in regular meetings to ensure all aspects of a student’s mental health journey are cohesively addressed.
• Lead workshops to educate school staff on psychosocial issues affecting students, seeking to enhance their understanding and responsiveness to students’ needs.
• Participate in on-call rotations to respond to emergencies and provide after-hours support for urgent counseling needs.
• Contribute to community outreach initiatives aimed at promoting mental health resources and education while exhibiting leadership in psychosocial projects within the community.
• Serve as a mentor and resource for fellow staff members to enhance the overall knowledge base of psychosocial care within the workplace.

This role primarily focuses on supporting school-age children and adolescents who may experience challenges ranging from anxiety and depression to complex social issues. Our LCSW will work closely with students, their families, and educational staff to ensure each child receives the holistic support necessary for their emotional and educational success.

• Must hold a valid licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Illinois.
• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW) is required; a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) is preferred.
• Proven experience working within a school environment or with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and demonstrate empathy toward clients.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate interactions with families and team members.

• Prior experience in a school-based mental health setting is preferred, particularly in roles involving direct support to students and their families.
• Familiarity with mental health issues pertinent to children and adolescents, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders.
• Experience in developing and delivering educational programs or workshops focused on mental wellness and coping strategies.
