What is an Overnight Remote Auto Insurance job?

An Overnight Remote Auto Insurance job involves working for an auto insurance company during nighttime hours, typically outside of standard business times, from a remote location such as your home. Employees in these roles may handle tasks like processing claims, offering customer support, managing policy information, or providing emergency services to customers who need assistance after hours. The position is ideal for individuals who prefer night shifts and remote work flexibility. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a stable internet connection are usually required. These roles help ensure customers receive support and service at any time, even outside regular office hours.

What is the difference between Overnight Remote Auto Insurance vs Auto Claims Adjuster?

AspectOvernight Remote Auto InsuranceAuto Claims Adjuster
CredentialsInsurance license, knowledge of auto policiesInsurance license, claims handling certification
Work EnvironmentRemote, overnight shifts, customer service focusOffice or remote, field or desk work, claims assessment
Industry UsageInsurance companies, customer support rolesInsurance companies, claims processing departments

Overnight Remote Auto Insurance roles primarily involve customer service and policy support during overnight hours, often requiring insurance licensing. Auto Claims Adjusters focus on evaluating and settling claims, which may involve fieldwork or desk assessments. While both roles operate within the auto insurance industry and require similar credentials, their daily tasks and work environments differ significantly.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Overnight Remote Auto Insurance Agent, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Overnight Remote Auto Insurance Agent, you need a solid understanding of auto insurance policies, strong customer service skills, and typically a state insurance license. Familiarity with insurance management software, customer relationship management (CRM) tools, and secure remote communication platforms is essential. Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and self-motivation are important soft skills for handling customer inquiries independently during overnight hours. These competencies ensure accurate policy handling, exceptional customer support, and efficient operations while working remotely and outside regular business hours.

What are some common challenges faced in an overnight remote auto insurance role, and how can I prepare for them?

Working overnight and remotely in auto insurance can present challenges such as managing fatigue, staying motivated during quieter hours, and handling urgent claims or customer inquiries without in-person support. To succeed, it's important to establish a healthy sleep routine, create a comfortable and distraction-free workspace, and familiarize yourself with digital communication tools and resources. Regular check-ins with your team and using collaboration platforms can help you stay connected and supported, even during off-peak hours.

Job description

About LGM Financial Services

LGM is a national leader in providing warranty, finance and insurance services to the Canadian automotive industry. Since 1998, LGM has partnered with leading automotive manufacturers and dealerships across Canada to deliver award-winning F&I solutions.  As part of our next phase of growth, the SecureDrive brand is expanding rapidly nationally, offering a full suite of used-vehicle protection products that combine performance, technology, and dealer support.

 The Opportunity

As a Dealer Development Manager for Alberta, you will own a high-potential territory and be the face of LGM and SecureDrive with auto dealers in the province.  This is a pure business development role:  you will prospect, cold call, and leverage your existing dealer network to open doors, win new rooftop relationships, and convert them to selling LGM’s extended warranty and insurance products.

You’ll spend most of your time in the field, building credibility with Dealer Principals, GMs, and F&I Managers, challenging the status quo, and showing them how SecureDrive programs can grow their F&I profit and retention.  Backed by a national brand, strong product suite, and internal training/support, you’ll have the autonomy to run your territory like your own business.

The Ideal Candidate

You’ve already managed a sales territory and know how to prospect, plan your travel, and consistently grow dealer penetration. You bring existing relationships with auto dealerships in Alberta (or can quickly build them) and have credibility with Dealer Principals, GMs, and F&I teams.  Experience in banking or automotive finance - especially as a Dealer Relationship Manager or auto finance rep calling on dealer groups - is a strong asset and will help you ramp up quickly in this role .
