We are seeking a skilled and reliable Building Engineer to join the Farbman Group team. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting building systems to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for tenants. In addition to core maintenance duties, this role also supports ClimateGuard Pro, Farbman Group's Internet of Things (IoT) sensor monitoring platform - installing and programming sensors at client sites, training on-site users, and monitoring alerts to ensure client properties remain protected.      Respond promptly to tenant service requests and maintenance emergencies, ensuring timely and professional resolution.

Monitor building systems and equipment to ensure efficiency, safety, and proper operation.

Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services as needed.

Maintain accurate records of work orders, equipment status, and inventory of supplies.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and applicable commercial building regulations.

Assist with space turnovers, including preparing vacant units for new tenants.

Support the overall upkeep of the property, including common areas, amenities, and curb appeal.

Assist in managing maintenance supplies and staying within budget guidelines.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in maintenance, building systems, or a related field preferred.

3+ years of experience in commercial property maintenance preferred.

Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, appliance repair, and general commercial maintenance.

Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently, including in occupied tenant spaces.

Familiarity with safety standards, OSHA guidelines, and applicable commercial building regulations.

Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with tenants, team members, clients, and vendors.

Good organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Comfort reading blueprints/floor plans and working with networked IoT devices; willingness to learn ClimateGuard Pro sensor hardware and configuration software (training provided).

Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call rotations, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Willingness to travel to client sites, including overnight stays when required.
