Unit Highlights
Rapid Response Team - RRT
The Rapid Response Team (RRT) at MGUH consists of critical care registered nurses, a critical care provider, and a respiratory therapist. These highly trained critical care nurses respond to a variety of emergencies, identifying early signs of patient deterioration and intervening before a crisis occurs. Their expertise lies in patient assessment and stabilization, ensuring timely and effective care. Additionally, RRT nurses serve as Code Blue response nurses, providing advanced resuscitation for patients experiencing cardiac or respiratory arrest. Their scope of practice also includes responding to outpatient emergencies, sepsis cases, and stroke codes throughout the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications
• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Minimum of two years of critical care experience preferred.
• Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required.
