Job description

Join the Parkview Cardiovascular Team!
The PPG Cardiovascular team is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Vascular Surgery team that serves patients with diverse vascular needs within the communities we serve. An interested candidate should have the ability to collaborate with intradepartmental team members as well as community organizers or members. A qualified candidate would have the ability to multitask and utilize critical thinking skills to best serve our patients.
Schedule and Responsibilities:
  • Monday through Friday - with call overnight and weekends for emergency cases and occasional weekend rounds
  • Role is focused on hospital-based care, supporting our Vascular Surgeons in the operating room and interventional hybrid room, inpatient rounding, and consults
  • Work location is at PRMC within the Parkview Heart Institute
  • Joining the Vascular Team of 3 surgeons and 1 APP that is a branch of the Cardiovascular Team with 7 total surgeons and 9 APPs.

Job Requirements for Nurse Practitioner
  • Graduate of an accredited Master of Science in Nursing program (DNP optional)
  • Current or pending state license for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
  • Current or pending certification by an approved professional certification organization
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an APP preferred.
Job Requirements for Physician Assistant
  • Graduate of a Masters' degree program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant Program (ARC-PA).
  • Current or pending state license
  • Current or pending certification by an approved professional certification organization
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant preferred.
Certifications as required by specialty which may be but are not limited to:
  • BLS through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • ACLS/ACLS-EP
