Job Summary 
The Cardiovascular Invasive Technician - Non-Certified provides specialized support during diagnostic and therapeutic/interventional cardiovascular procedures. This role involves assisting the physician, operating specialized equipment, maintaining sterile techniques, and ensuring a safe environment for adult patients. The Technician records data and prepares documentation to support the physician's evaluation and decision-making processes. 
Essential Functions

  • Assists physicians during cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional procedures, adhering to protocols to maintain sterile techniques.
  • Operates specialized cardiovascular equipment safely and efficiently, monitoring patient status throughout procedures.
  • Records, calculates, and verifies data during procedures for physician review, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepares procedural documentation, including treatment plans, evaluation results, and progress reports, in accordance with department and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains a safe environment in the acute care area by following safety protocols and responding promptly to changes in patient condition.
  • Supports patient preparation, positioning, and monitoring during cardiovascular procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure efficient workflow, equipment readiness, and timely communication during procedures.
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives and adheres to best practices for cardiovascular invasive procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or a related field preferred
  • 0-1 years of experience in cardiovascular or invasive procedures required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and procedural protocols.
  • Proficiency in operating specialized cardiovascular equipment and maintaining sterile techniques.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to document accurately and follow procedures under general supervision.

Licenses and Certifications

  • CVT – Cardiovascular Tech (Required) or
  • CRT – Certified Radiologic Technologist (Required) or
  • RN – Registered Nurse – State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure (Required)
  • ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Preferred)
  • BCLS – Basic Life Support (Required within first 30 days)
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Preferred)
